Holzschnitt Drucke / 2010 - 2011

Die Holzschnitt Drucke sind in dem ersten Jahr meines Kunst-Studiums entstanden. In einem Grundstudiumskurs, den ich besuchen musste.

Ich hatte ehrlich gesagt damals gar keine Lust auf den Kurs. Ich wollte mit Video basteln. Und nicht auf Holz rumschaben.

Und dann, wurde es irgendwie gut.

Ich hatte - viel zu fühlen und demnach,

viel zu schaben.

Ich fühlte, ich schabte.

Das war irgendwie gut.

Die Drucke die hier zum Verkauf stehen sind in dieser Zeit entstanden.

Sie sind keine “High Art”. Sie sind ohne große Aufmerksamkeit entstanden, aber, mit viel Fühlen und mit viel Schaben.

Sie haben keine besondere Behandlung in all den Jahren erfahren, begleiteten mich aber die Jahre. Manche Drucke sind etwas schwach in der Farbe, andere haben vielleicht einen Flecken. Andere wieder sind sauber und stark.

Vielleicht hat jemand Freude daran. Oder eine Neugier darauf wie das Bild an der Küchenwand sich macht. Neben all den anderen Zetteln.

Und ich, bekomme Geld für Brot, Kürbis, Apfel, Bett, Strom. Und Zeit für meine Herzensarbeit, und etwas freiheit.

The woodcut prints were created in the first year of my art studies. In a foundation course I had to take.
Honestly, I didn't feel like taking the course at all back then. I wanted to tinker with video. Not scrape around on wood.
And then, somehow, it became good.
I had - a lot to feel and accordingly, a lot to scrape. I felt, I scraped. That was somehow good.
The prints available for sale here were created during that time. They are not "high art." They were created without great attention, but with a lot of feeling and a lot of scraping.
They haven't received any special treatment over all these years, but they've accompanied me through the years. Some prints are a bit weak in color, others might have a stain. Others again are clean and strong.
Maybe someone will find joy in them. Or curiosity about how the image looks on the kitchen wall. Among all the other notes.
And I get money for bread, pumpkin, apple, bed, electricity. And time for my heart's work, and some freedom.
